Hi, I’m Melissa — a nurse, a mom, and a maker who believes that a little warmth can go a long way.

When I’m not caring for patients or spending time with my family, you’ll usually find me with a ball of yarn and a crochet hook in hand. Knitting and crocheting have always been my way of winding down, expressing creativity, and showing love in a tangible way. What started as a few handmade gifts for friends and family quickly grew into a passion I wanted to share with others — and that’s how Melissa’s Knits was born.

As a nurse, caring for people is a big part of who I am. Creating something soft, comforting, and personal feels like an extension of that same care. Each blanket, hat, pillow, or plushie I make is stitched with intention — to bring comfort, smiles, and maybe even a little healing warmth to whoever receives it.

My favorite part of this journey is hearing the stories behind each order — a blanket for a new baby, a throw for someone’s first home, or a pudgy crochet cow to brighten a loved one’s day. Every piece I create is a reminder that small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
